How do I register?<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fill out this registration form<\/strong><\/a> and submit it no later than July 15.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

\n

What is the minimum age to register?<\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participants must be at least 16 years old. However, if you are under 16 and accompanied by an adult who takes responsibility for you, you are welcome to join!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

\n

How much does the registration cost and what does it include?<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fee depends on whether you are a member of Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Musical Lisboa Cantat (AMLC) or a resident of Manteigas and includes participation in all workshops (Beethoven\u2019s Ninth Symphony, Madrigals, Hollywood).<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The registration fee includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Attendance in the workshops and their final concerts;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Sheet music in printed or digital format, as chosen at registration;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Audio learning materials;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Meals at the Escola Profissional de Hotelaria de Manteigas (lunches every day and dinners on concert days with participation of the Festival Choir);<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Personal accident insurance;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Transportation to and from Guarda;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Excursions and transportation;<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Transportation to concerts when the distance requires it.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    I have never sung in a choir and have no musical knowledge. Can I register?<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Unfortunately, no. The program is intensive, and without prior choral experience or the ability to prepare the pieces in advance (using sheet music and\/or MIDI files), it would be difficult to keep up.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    \n

    Are all workshops mandatory?<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    By registering, participation in the Ninth Symphony and Hollywood workshops will be mandatory. The Madrigals workshop will be optional, but this will not change the registration fee.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Will we spend the entire week just singing?<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    No! In addition to workshop rehearsals, there will be concerts on several evenings, as well as two excursions to explore the region. Plus, all meals will be shared, and in a small town, no one gets lost!<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    What about people with dietary restrictions?<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Participants with dietary restrictions should mention them on the registration form.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Does the registration fee include accommodation?<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    No, you must arrange your own accommodation. However, if you are open to sharing a dormitory, you can book a bed at Escola Profissional de Hotelaria de Manteigas for a discounted rate of \u20ac9\/night, including breakfast. To benefit from this discounted rate, simply show your proof of registration and inform the Festival\u2019s organization.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    I want to find accommodation nearby. Where will the rehearsals and concerts take place?<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Rehearsals will take place in Manteigas throughout the week, except for one orchestra rehearsal and one of the final concerts, which will be held in Guarda, on the same day.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Does the registration fee include transportation to Manteigas?<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    No, you will have to arrange your own travel means to Manteigas.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

    Use of mobile phones?<\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Allowed outside rehearsal and concert periods. Any audio or video recording during rehearsals and concerts will be the sole responsibility of the Festival's organization.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
