How do I register?

Fill out this registration form and submit it no later than July 15.

What is the minimum age to register?

Participants must be at least 16 years old. However, if you are under 16 and accompanied by an adult who takes responsibility for you, you are welcome to join!

How much does the registration cost and what does it include?

The fee depends on whether you are a member of Associação Musical Lisboa Cantat (AMLC) or a resident of Manteigas and includes participation in all workshops (Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony, Madrigals, Hollywood).

5% discount for registrations received by April 30.

The registration fee includes:

• Attendance in the workshops and their final concerts;
• Sheet music in printed or digital format, as chosen at registration;
• Audio learning materials;
• Meals at the Escola Profissional de Hotelaria de Manteigas (lunches every day and dinners on concert days with participation of the Festival Choir);
• Personal accident insurance;
• Transportation to and from Guarda;
• Excursions and transportation;
• Transportation to concerts when the distance requires it.

I have never sung in a choir and have no musical knowledge. Can I register?

Unfortunately, no. The program is intensive, and without prior choral experience or the ability to prepare the pieces in advance (using sheet music and/or MIDI files), it would be difficult to keep up.

Are all workshops mandatory?

By registering, participation in the Ninth Symphony and Hollywood workshops will be mandatory. The Madrigals workshop will be optional, but this will not change the registration fee.

Will we spend the entire week just singing?

No! In addition to workshop rehearsals, there will be concerts on several evenings, as well as two excursions to explore the region. Plus, all meals will be shared, and in a small town, no one gets lost!

What about people with dietary restrictions?

Participants with dietary restrictions should mention them on the registration form.

Does the registration fee include accommodation?

No, you must arrange your own accommodation. However, if you are open to sharing a dormitory, you can book a bed at Escola Profissional de Hotelaria de Manteigas for a discounted rate of €9/night, including breakfast. To benefit from this discounted rate, simply show your proof of registration and inform the Festival’s organization.

I want to find accommodation nearby. Where will the rehearsals and concerts take place?

Rehearsals will take place in Manteigas throughout the week, except for one orchestra rehearsal and one of the final concerts, which will be held in Guarda, on the same day.

Does the registration fee include transportation to Manteigas?

No, you will have to arrange your own travel means to Manteigas.

Use of mobile phones?

Allowed outside rehearsal and concert periods. Any audio or video recording during rehearsals and concerts will be the sole responsibility of the Festival's organization.
