The Clarinet and Tuba Ensemble of Banda Boa União – Música Velha is a musical project formed by members of the Band, created with the aim of exploring new artistic possibilities and offering a more diverse approach to chamber music.

With a core formation of four musicians, which may vary according to the characteristics and requirements of each performance, the Ensemble brings together clarinets and tuba in a versatile configuration capable of performing a wide-ranging repertoire and adapting to different musical settings.

Directed by João Craveiro, with the collaboration of Ricardo Craveiro, the project reflects the commitment of the musicians of Banda Boa União – Música Velha to education, creativity, and the pursuit of new forms of musical expression. Its flexible instrumentation enables the Ensemble to explore repertoire beyond the traditional wind band setting, presenting a variety of musical styles while adapting to the specific nature of each event.

The Ensemble's main objectives are to broaden the musical offering of Banda Boa União – Música Velha, contribute to concert opening performances, and take part in cultural and community initiatives, particularly events organized within the parish of Santa Maria and by the Municipality of Manteigas.

With a strong connection to the local community, the Clarinet and Tuba Ensemble has participated in concerts, gatherings, and other special events, establishing itself as a dynamic and flexible chamber group. Its activities also serve to highlight the talents of the Band's musicians, encourage their artistic development, and bring together different generations through music.
