Participants must be at least 16 years old. However, if you are under 16 and accompanied by an adult who takes responsibility for you, you are welcome to join!

The fee depends on whether you are a member of Associação Musical Lisboa Cantat (AMLC) or a resident of Manteigas, and whether you register only for Carmina Burana or also for the Portuguese/German Music workshops.

The registration fee includes:

  • Attendance in the selected workshops and their final concerts;
  • Sheet music in printed or digital format, as chosen at registration;
  • Audio learning materials;
  • Meals (lunch and dinner);
  • Personal accident insurance;
  • Transportation to and from Guarda;
  • Two excursions, including transportation.

Unfortunately, no. The program is intensive, and without prior choral experience or the ability to prepare the pieces in advance (using sheet music and/or MIDI files), it would be difficult to keep up.

Yes. Participation in both the concert in Manteigas and the concert in Guarda is mandatory.

No. You have two options: you can either participate only in the preparation of the final concerts featuring Carmina Burana , or you can also add the Traditional Portuguese Music and German Music workshops to your portfolio.

No. Participation in the Carmina Burana preparation and concerts is mandatory.

No! In addition to workshop rehearsals, there will be concerts on several evenings, as well as two excursions to explore the region. Plus, all meals will be shared, and in a small town, no one gets lost!

Participants with dietary restrictions should mention them on the registration form.

No, you must arrange your own accommodation. However, if you are open to sharing a dormitory, you can book a bed at Escola Profissional de Hotelaria de Manteigas for a discounted rate of €9/night, including breakfast. To benefit from this discounted rate, simply show your proof of registration and inform the Festival’s organization.

Rehearsals will take place in Manteigas throughout the week, except for one orchestra rehearsal and one of the final concerts, which will be held in Guarda.

Travel to Manteigas and back home at the beginning and end of the festival is not included, you'll have to organise it yourself. All other journeys during the week are included, including the guided excursions and the journeys to/from the concert in Guarda.

Allowed outside rehearsal and concert periods. Any audio or video recording during rehearsals and concerts will be the sole responsibility of the Festival's organization.

Participants are responsible for their valuable items.
