
Kilian Brandscherdt
Tenor
The tenor Kilian Brandscherdt was born in Regensburg, Bavaria, and has been studying voice with Caroline Melzer at the Zurich University of the Arts since September 2022.
He was a member of the Regensburg Cathedral Choir, with which he toured nationally and internationally, including appearances as a child soloist. He has won several first prizes at the Jugend musiziert competition. Together with his duo partner Johanna Glocke, he received the 2021 Sparkasse Special Prize for outstanding performances. He is a co-founder of the vocal ensemble Quintessen, made up of former members of the Regensburg Cathedral Choir. As a group, they were awarded the City of Regensburg Music Prize in 2020.
Kilian also performs regularly as a pianist in duo with his brother Constantin (baritone). In addition to receiving prizes at Jugend musiziert, he was also awarded the Regensburg Music Prize in 2021.
