Philharmonische Kammerchor Berlin
The Philharmonischer Kammerchor Berlin was founded by singers from all over Germany who have taken part in courses from ensemblesingen.de, such as the ensemble workshop Singing in an Ensemble in Sicily or Solo Singing. These singers share a common passion for choral music at the highest level, interpreted in a meaningful and inspiring way.
The experienced and ambitious singers are trained by a variety of internationally renowned vocal coaches and choirmasters, ensuring that the ensemble's sound is optimally adapted to the works being performed. The members of the choir are active in various choirs and come together as the Philharmonischer Kammerchor Berlin for extraordinary projects. The choir is always looking to collaborate with European partners to connect musically across borders.
The combination of the expertise of professional musicians and the enthusiasm of dedicated amateurs creates an inspiring dynamic that drives everyone involved to perform at their best. Every voice counts, and together all participants shape the music. In this way, works from the 17th, 18th, 19th, and 20th centuries are always interpreted in a lively and contemporary manner.
The Philharmonischer Kammerchor Berlin achieved great success with Mozart's Requiem in three concerts with the Berliner Camerata in Switzerland (2018) and in 2018 and 2019 in Berlin Cathedral. In 2020, the choir made its debut in Portugal and performed Beethoven's Ninth Symphony together with the Orquestra Filarmónica Portuguesa in three sold-out concerts. Another invitation followed in 2021 for a performance of Mozart's Requiem.
