Vocal Coach and Soprano Soloist

Soprano Sarah Behrendt studied at the University of the Arts in Berlin with Anna Korondi and Robert Gambill, where she completed both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees.

She was also part of the renowned Santa Cecilia Opera Studio in Rome, where she worked with Renata Scotto and Anna Vandi. Since 2016, she has continued her vocal training under Professor Thomas Heyer and Judith Lindenbaum.

Sarah Behrendt has showcased her talent in numerous opera and theatre productions, including performances at: Volksbühne Berlin (Villa Verdi and Die 120 Tage von Sodom, directed by Johann Kresnik); Neuköllner Oper (Carmen as Micaëla, directed by David Mouchtar-Samorai, and L’incoronazione di Poppea as Poppea, directed by Hendrik Müller); Staatstheater Cottbus (Fürst Pücklers Utopia). She has also participated in productions at Berlin Cathedral, performing Bach’s St. John Passion and Christmas Oratorio under the direction of Christoph Hagel.

As a highly sought-after concert soloist on an international level, Sarah Behrendt has performed in prestigious concert halls worldwide, including: Shenzhen Concert Hall and Beijing Concert Hall (China); Aix-en-Provence Cathedral and Lyon Cathedral (France); Parco della Musica Roma and Teatro Poliziano Montepulciano (Italy); Laeiszhalle Hamburg, French Cathedral, and Berlin Cathedral (Germany).

Her passion for chamber music and concert repertoire has led her to collaborate with renowned artists and participate in master classes with luminaries such as Axel Bauni, Ute Becker, Calixto Bieito, Irwin Gage, Wolfram Rieger, Eric Schneider, Claudia Visca, and Scott Weir.

Since 2016, Sarah Behrendt has also made a name for herself as a vocal coach, working with choirs and individual singers in Germany and Italy. In 2017, inspired by her studies and professional experiences in Italy, she founded a master class academy in Sicily (www.ensemblesingen.de), where she continues to organize courses and master classes.

With her skills, passion for music, and dedication to teaching, Sarah Behrendt has become a versatile artist and educator, inspiring both audiences and students alike.
